Hidayet Karaca’s arrest is
accepted as illegal by the Hizmet’s members and media however it rather looks
as if it’s a diplomatic message to the west and the USA. That’s, it is one of
the conscious offenses done versus western alienation to the AK governance. Government has to show its power both in a perceptional
way and on a law base. If not, it would be thought as a political failure by
the AK party’s voters. Party could not take such a risk. Hizmet worked as parallel
but as an unseen structure, its silhouette behind the party members disappeared
after December the 17-25 operations.
Falling in finding a real suspect,
government targeted popular characters of the Hizmet.
After years, perhaps no one will
be able to find clues about Karaca’s and others’ arrests. However, no one also
would be able to deny that it’s fateful reverse of Hizmet’s covered way of
applications to mandate governments for its aims. Like original sin, Karaca was
the scapegoat (could be)seen by the ‘law mentality’ of the government in a such
a gloomy atmosphere enforced and generated by the Hizmet.
